Well played

What a magical intro.
Nothing to say, this is really great. Feels a bit like scarlet :)

wtf, really drives me mad.
something here is unpleasant, maybe the panning but I wouldn't recommend you to fix it, because it kinda fits the song ambiance.

I love the ambient bitcrushed distorted intro, then comes that awkward part with the drums and the square/pulse waves. Sound design is off in this part I guess : lots of weird cracklings, I guess that's on purpose, but I still find it too harsh to my ears (just personnal opinion lol).

Then around 1:25, the track sorta changes.
The chords are really soothing and purposely off, but seriously, what's up with stereo ? It feels really squashed up :(.

The transition around 2:40 is really weird. Then kicks the nice lowpass-sawtooth bouce thingy, which feels refreshing. Very fucked up but nice drums.

My last complain is the 3:54 larsen tone. Feels really earrape-ish man, but Idk that's just me.

Overall I like the fucked up random rhythm, the total madness of the track and its fresh, vanishing windy chords. Good job !
since you made a serious review, i felt forced to make a decent one on your track :)
Peace, WL

Really appreciate your taking the time!

This was a cathartically raw and filthy one for sure. It felt right to get a little unpleasant. o ͜ o Recently listened to the new Black Dresses album: https://blackdresses.bandcamp.com/album/thank-you and some of Ryoji Ikeda's "dataplex": https://youtu.be/HWhfZk1llUo so I'm sure those each had an impact in their own ways. Maybe my abrasions' deployment timings are off, but regardless of whose cup of tea it is, I've always been one to mix roof gravel into my cake frostings.

I feel almost guilty when I use simple waveforms, etc. My hope is that juxtaposing them with more obscure sound design techniques makes their inclusion feel more deliberate. Probably wasn't being too careful with the shaping of that wide squirchy percussive sound, though.

The stereo thing going on with those pads was one of the ideas I started the project with. I took the randomly-panned L and R signals, mashed them together at ~30% L, dipped the volume, brought it back up while separating L and R to full width exponentially, and then mirrored that for every other loop. 1:40, the squeaky reverb stuff and everything else remain narrower than the pads at their widest. I'm not sure what's up if it seems squashed beyond that.

Don't exactly mean to force, but future feedback is always welcome! 8)
Carets, S?

very heccy dark

is there any platform I could download the LP ? Thanks

KaixoMusic responds:

You can literally download it right here. And within a few weeks it'll also be available on Spotify, iTunes etc.

meh compared to the LP's album tracks

KaixoMusic responds:

This is a short bonus track, something that adds to the vibe of the LP.

Basses feel kinda outdated, but I guess that's on purpose.
This is sick dudes

KaixoMusic responds:

Never heard that one before lol. This one is my least favorite of the LP anyway so I kinda agree, tried some other sounds but they just didn't fit.
